The Office of Sustainability

The Office of Sustainability is dedicated to offering the campus community educational and experiential programs that expand their understanding of what it means to be sustainable. Our goal is to inspire all to do their part in creating a safer and more sustainable campus community.

Services
  • Bikeshare: Bikeshare is an initiative where bicycles are lent to students through our BikeShare program to encourage sustainable transportation on campus. Please email bikeshare@oswego.edu for more information!
  • OzThrift: OzThrift is a program involving an end-of-semester student donation collection across campus. This collection stocks and supplies the semiannual OzThrift sale, creating a circular economy of goods at SUNY Oswego.
  • The Permaculture Living Laboratory (PLL): The PLL is an on-campus garden located between Shineman and Lee Hall. Students, faculty, staff, and community members are collaborating to create a natural, productive learning space. Upon maturity, the garden will provide community members with an abundance of locally grown, nutrient-rich, organic food.
  • Volunteering Opportunities: Throughout the semester, there will be volunteering opportunities in various sustainability programs on a rolling basis. More information will be available on the Oswego events calendar.
