Student Engagement and Leadership
Student Engagement and Leadership, the Student Association and the registered student organizations at SUNY Oswego comprise the collaborative resource center, which is The Point. Student Engagement and Leadership supports students as they initiate and purposefully engage in meaningful involvement experiences with other students, faculty advisors and staff in creating activities that contribute to bringing the campus to life outside of the classroom setting. These areas of involvement include but are not limited to SUNY Oswego’s community of registered student organizations, along with their online presence in Laker Life: https://lakerlife.oswego.edu. Through involvement in student organizations students develop skills in collaboration, team building, event planning, inclusion and more! Student Engagement and Leadership also coordinates the ALANA Multicultural Leadership Conference, Civic Engagement and Community Service including Vote Oswego and Alternative Break, the Student Involvement Fair and Awards Ceremony, advisement of the fraternity and sorority community, along with various leadership and programming sessions and training throughout the academic year.
